From Strength to Strength

Last year we were once again blessed with fantastic weather, light winds, sunny and warm for most of the day.

Last years event was the biggest and I believe the best so far.
We had 70 transmitters booked in and I counted 192 aircraft!

There was a very friendly atmosphere with a few spectators who were also enjoying themselves.

Refreshments were available all day (Thanks Alan S. and Alan L.) and we even had an ice cream van in attendance which was most welcome (by me especially)

Highlights from 2007

I think most people will agree that the highlights of the day were the two big Lancaster’s of Tony Nijhuis and Alan Gorham with the big DH Hornet from John Ranson along with the 2 great fun and very manic FunJet secessions.
We managed to get 13 of them in the air all at the same time, a real adrenalin buzz. You couldn’t blink or you would end up flying the wrong model. Amazingly the only collisions were on the ground!

The 2008 BMAC E-Vent

This years event will be simular to last years with regards to the time table and format. Back by very popular demand will be a couple of FunJet sessions (or planes of similar performance). There is a high risk of getting some damage so if you are not willing to accept this then we advise you not to fly during these couple of 5 minute sessions.

• Large well kept field just off tarmac road
• Good Parking
• Lots of Large and Cutting Edge Models Expected
• Must have proof of insurance
• Must have ‘A’ Cert or higher (and Proof)
• Site opens at 09:00am (no sooner please)
• Pilots briefing at 10:00am
• Flying starts at 10:10am
• Fly until dusk!

To save time on the day, can pilots please fill out the ‘Pilots Registration Form‘, and bring it with them on the day.
