    The 2009 BMAC E-Vent, 13th Sept 2009

    The Southern Premier Electric Event

The 2008 Flight LineLast years event was even bigger and better then before. Once the early morning fog cleared, we were once again blessed with a light easterly wind which was straight down the strip. The day went very well with dedicated sessions for the mayhem of the Multiplex FunJets, Twinstars and a couple of impromptu “warbirds” sessions. Cyril Carr's Space ShuttleThere was also a great session with all the “V” bombers all built by Terry Mitchell. Ian Watson of FlightPower put on a great demonstration with his huge Krill Katana.

The flight line was heaving by 9:30am with models filling nearly the whole length of the 180m strip and several deep. Visitors came from near and far, with Ian Watson's Katanaone flyer coming all the way from Newcastle, a five hour drive! We even had an overseas visitor (Okay it was the IOW). There were a total of 60 pilots booked in and 201 models were counted at one point in the day with more arriving after that.

We look forward to seeing you this year.
